I told you it was a mega one this month folks and I’m sure you’ve not been disappointed. So many tantalisingly tasty salads, sides, appetisers, mains, puds and cakes, a feast for any occasion. But unfortunately we can only have one winner and just for a change I thought I’d select one myself this month. The recipe that appealed to me the most and stood out as a dish I’d be jumping at the bit to make and devour has to be Elizabeth’s Kitchen’s Poached Egg with Spiced Lentils and Asparagus Kale, “gentiliy sautéed asparagus kale with coriander, cumin and ginger spiced puy lentils topped with a poached egg and paprika-spiked yogurt and Feta”. Oh yes please, I’m totally convinced I’ll be as equally hooked on it as Elizabeth. I was particularly interested to discover a whole new veggie to me too in the recipe, asparagus kale. I’m already on the lookout for some! Congrats Elizabeth, you shall shortly be placed in the Four Seasons Food Winner’s Gallery!
Well that’s it for my round-up other than to tell you Tina at The Spicy Pear has kindly offered to guest host June for us so Anneli can have a welcome month off. Please do bob over and check out our racy theme for the first month of Summer and of course join in the fun!
See you next month,
L x

Not easy for such an over-wordy person as myself. But needs must!
Wowzers, what a fabulous round-up Lou. Spring really makes me want to tuck into the greens and seasonal treats such as asparagus, so NOW I want this even more.
I love spring for it’s gorgeous produce and promise of a long and golden summer ahead….just hope it is!
Some really lovely entries here, I’m half way through my Simple and in Season round up for May – bump is getting in the way of me sitting for too long at my laptop!
Oh I bet it is, so uncomfortable in these last few days, or even late days for you! GOOD LUCK!
What a great round up Lou! Such a great selection of sweet and savoury dishes. Gosh I love this time of year. And well done choosing your words so well 🙂 xx
Thanks Anneli, so many fab entries this month. It was tough choosing a winner to be honest!
What a bumper round up indeed. I love how you’ve aptly described each recipe in a few words. Great idea which I will have to borrow one day.
Actually I should confess that I borrowed the idea from the lovely Vanesther at Bangers & Mash! Genius.
That is a massive round up! So many delicious recipes, and thank you for choosing my adaptation of Kellie’s recipe as the winner this month! So chuffed! 😀
